To understand how facade systems work, we were tasked with surgically deconstructing the skin of the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC), designed by Zaha Hadid. Once it was taken apart, we had to find a way to put it back together again, but in doing so changing something, that as such would alter the tectonics of the systems to accommodate this change in material.
